ANTIQUE AND COLLECTIBLE BUTTONS

Welcome to "antique-collectible-buttons" where I'll be posting buttons for show and tell, as well as some to sell. I'll try to list different buttons each week or so, but being it's getting close to the Holiday season, I will probably not get much done here in the recent future. U.S. S/H is $2.00 for any numer of buttons. I package buttons in a box and padded envelope. Insurance extra, of course. Please email any questions and/or orders to buttons@minot.com. #bbww11 ~ $65.00 Great green (NOT black) oval with glass head in openwork brass measuring button 1 & 3/4 BY 2 & 1/4. Note chip on one edge.

#bbww12 ~ $150.00 This hunk-of-a-button is layered imi-tortoise and marbelized green, with an egyptian escutcheon. Appears to have been half of a buckle, measures 1 & 3/4 inch diagonally.

#1 ~ $38.00 This is a button we discussed several months ago, with several different interpretations. Base appears to be bakelite (I prefer to NOT test) and when held to the light one can see that the plastic is sort of translucent. Measures 1 & 3/4 inch, has a double shank, only about 1/4 inch apart.	#2 ~ $22.00 This is a very lovely, high-relief rose escutcheon affixed to the hammered, tinted, flat brass back; heavy "U" shank. Measures a scant 1 & 1/2 inch.
	#4 ~ $45.00 This is a nice one piece brass "wood" design with steel nail and studs; "rolled" edge; heavy loop shank. Measures a scant 1 & 1/2 inch.

#5 ~ $10.00 One piece,with partial open work, depicting flowers and a bird; appears to be copper, and Oriental in design with loop shank. Measures a scant 1 & 1/4 inch.	#6 ~ $10.00 This black glass button is a version of an old mill, no luster, loop shank and plate in very good condition. Measures a "tad" over 1 & 1/8 inch.	#7 ~ $18.00 This is a very nice steel "cup" (though it's more like a plate!) with a stylized leaf and cut steel trim escutcheon, attached to the loop shank. The border is stamped, and rolls over the edge. Measures a bit over 1 & 1/4 inch.
#8 ~ $25.00 Here's another steel cup; this one has a brass plate inside the narrow border, to which is attached a floral bouquet with cut steel trim. Measures 1 & 1/8 inch.	#9 ~ $45.00 This silver button with twisted rope border is pictured in the BBB but I can't tell you where, as I sold my copy in anticipation of the new book. Can't find a hallmark but something I can't read is stamped on the heavy loop shank. Measures a scant 1 & 1/8 inch.	#10~ $25.00 sold ~ thanks

#11 ~ $8.00 This black glass buckle measures 1 & 5/16 inch. Loop shank.	#12 ~ $20.00 This child portrait is under plastic, set in white metal. Loop shank. Measures 1 & 1/16 inch.	#13 ~ $12.00 This is a very nice etched japanned metal button with detailed escutcheon; measures 1 inch.	#14 ~ $12.00 This great little button has a faceted top, looks like popper glass but has a loop shank and plate. Measures 3/4 inch.
